DARKTOLIGHT–The Event™   Celebrate the Universe this Winter Solstice

 
Lyle Bjorn is originally from the small town of Upham, North Dakota (pop. 198).  He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in 2004 from the Minnesota State University.  Lyle has been active in the theatre since 1999 as actor, director, stage manager, and scenic designer.  Lyle began his career as Youth Musical Director for Fort Totten Elementary in Fort Totten, North Dakota where he directed a musical theatre production for 90 Native American children, 4-6 grade, designed and constructed the set and costumes for the musical production.

Lyle then spend 7 years in Seoul, South Korea where his work included  producer, artistic director and actor for Seoul Players group in Seoul.  There his work included “A Night of Shakespeare”, “A Day in the Death of Joe Egg,” and many more.

Most recently, Lyle is a company member of The Dinner Detective (Portland), actor with Lakewood Center for the Arts (Lake Oswego), and actor with the Broadway Rose Theatre Company (Tigard).  His recent plays include “South Pacific” and “Beauty and the Beast” and “Pinnochio."

Greg Everton started out training as a dancer, studied Jazz tap ballet, voice and acting.  After performing locally, he went on to perform in Japan, later Lake Tahoe and the East Coast.

He furthered his studies in dance and voice, and received a scholarship in Manhattan at the Broadway Dance Center.  After three and a half years working in the East coast, he was flown down to Las Vegas to open a large scale production at a new hotel on the strip.  He remained at the Las Vegas Boulevard for 18 years, acting, dancing and singing on the strip.  He eventually created his own act while teaching ballroom dancing.

He recently moved back to Portland performing for production companies such as Wonderlust Circus, Ms. Kitty’s Vaudeville, Rose City Vaudeville, Oregon Country Fair, Dantes, and Star Theaters.

GREG EVERTON

Makeda was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska before she relocated to California to attend university. During her time there, she was an active member in Everyday People, Stanford's only Mo-town, R&B and Hip-Hop a cappella group.  Many of her favorite performances involved singing the National Anthem at sports events on campus.
While in graduate school for Education, she fell in love with bellydance as an art form and began performing and competing with various troupes in the Bay Area. She moved to Portland to pursue music and dance this past summer and continues to be involved with education as an Academic Life Coach. She loves singing and dancing many different styles and is pleased to be involved in BANG! as her first show..
